Tools, not apps.
Unphone turns your iPhone into a calm, text-only phone. The tools you need, as words on a plain screen.
Coming to the App Store in November 2026.
What's on it
- Phone
- Your contacts as a list of names. Tap to call.
- Directions
- Turn-by-turn as plain text. Start in Apple Maps when you're ready to drive.
- Lists
- Your Reminders, as text. Changes sync both ways.
- Timer
- One timer, five presets.
- Calculator
- Big numbers, nothing else.
- Messages, Notes, Music
- Open Apple's own apps from the same quiet list.
How it works
- Your Home Screen becomes a list of words. Add the Unphone widget, hide your other pages, and the phone opens to a clock and your tools.
- The tools are built in. Directions, lists and calls happen inside Unphone, as text, with nothing to scroll.
- The apps that pull you in wait behind a pause. Choose which ones to lock. Opening one means breathing for eight seconds and choosing how many minutes you need.
